Biography

In 1885, he served as secretary and dragoman at the consulate of the Russian Empire in Sarajevo.

In 1887 he was appointed secretary of the Russian Consulate General in Iasi.

From 1892 he was the clerk of the Middle East section of the Asian department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Empire.

In 1895 he was appointed 2nd Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Empire in Tehran.

From 1898 he worked as secretary of the Russian Embassy in Cetinje.

In 1903, he was appointed 1st secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Empire in Bucharest, and in 1908 - the Russian Embassy in Madrid.

From 1912 to 1914 he was the Ambassador of the Russian Empire at the Württemberg court . In exile he lived in France.

He died on December 26, 1932 in Clamart and was buried in the local cemetery [1] .

  • His wife - according to unknown sources - allegedly Varvara Nikolaevna (1870–1933) (nee Princess Trubetskaya), a public figure, sister of Grigory Nikolayevich , Yevgeny Nikolaevich and Sergei Nikolaevich Trubetskikh , E. N. Osorgina. In exile in France, she lived in Lille. She founded a dormitory for Russian students, where she organized a church in the dormitory at the dormitory (according to verified documentary data, she was the wife of Gennady Gennadyevich Lermontov).
