Pyotr Andreyevich Rochev ( October 18, 1913 - June 8, 1991 ) - Soviet scientist, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences , correspondent member of the Agricultural Academy , honored livestock specialist of the RSFSR .

Biography
He was born on October 18, 1913 in the family of a Komi peasant in the village of Mokhcha (now the Izhma district of the Komi Republic).
In 1934 he graduated from the Vologda Agricultural Institute . He worked as a researcher at the Northern Regional Experimental Station for Livestock in Vologda . From 1935 to 1942, the director of the Pechora Agricultural Collective Farm in the village of Ust-Tsilma .
From 1942 to 1945 he was a participant in the Great Patriotic War, captain of the 42nd Infantry Regiment of the 333rd Infantry Division. He was awarded many orders and medals.
From 1946 to 1988 in the Naryan-Mar SCW. He supervised the development of a system of farming and fishing in the Nenets Okrug, brought up a new pedigree group of dairy cattle - the Kholmogorsky breed of the Pechora type, which is highly resistant to climatic conditions of the Far North. He also developed the theoretical and practical foundations of dairy cattle breeding, the organization of feed production and rational feeding of livestock in the district.

He was the chairman of the board of the Nenets district organization "Rank". In 1972, he was a member of the board of the All-Union Society, chairman of the council for the problems of the European North under the presidium of the VASKhNIL branch for the Non-Chernozem zone of the RSFSR.
Honored Livestock Specialist of the RSFSR (1964).
He died on June 8, 1991 in Moscow .
