Underwater era

The action of the cartoon takes place in the post-apocalyptic future , where due to the actions of people, the planet Earth suffered an environmental disaster , as a result of which the Earth was flooded. In parallel with this, the marine inhabitants also suffered a disaster. The octopus, grimpotheutis Kraken, managed to save several inhabitants and formed a safe place with them, where they began to continue living there. There are simple rules that ensure the survival of the colony: no one leaves the cave and is not interested in what is happening outside it ^[2] .

Kraken’s grandson, Deep, considers life boring, but shows interest in objects ever made by humans. He also involves his friends in his actions: Ivo anglerfish and Alice shrimp. Soon, one of Deep’s “pranks” leads to the fact that he accidentally endangered the inhabitants of his native place, because of which they were walled up. The Kraken tells Deepe that only the white whale Nathan can help them, and gives his grandson the necessary guidelines for finding Nathan. Deep with Ivo and Alice hit the road to find Nathan.

After passing a few landmarks, friends get to the sunken Titanic , where they are found by the infernal vampire Norma, who forces her to listen to her speech, and then she tells them that in order to find Nathan, you need to get to Broadway . Also, the heroes had difficulty getting out of the ship, since Norma did not let them go.

Along the way, Deepa is attacked by Moray Moray, but immediately hearing from him that he has friends, he admits that she is alone. Deep takes Mora with him to the team, despite the fact that Alice and Ivo were against taking a predator with them, which almost ate them on the first night.

When they reached the Brooklyn Bridge, the friends were surrounded by crabs, where their leader, crab Yeti Rico, required participation in a dance battle so that he could miss them. Alice, having taken part, amazes Rico with his performance, and he falls in love with her. After that, the heroes pass through the Brooklyn Bridge, then appearing on the streets of flooded New York , strangely fall into the radiation zone and overcome a number of difficulties.

Soon, it was not clear where, between the heroes, disagreements occur, where everyone accuses Deep of a dangerous trip. But then they meet penguin Darcy and his aides: walrus Luigi and Ralph dolphin . While Darcy and Luigi distracted the main characters by watching a film about the project “Ark-1” and “Ark-2” (where people were saved by leaving Earth and went to settle on another planet), they are discussing a plan to deceive them by freezing and leave Earth on the “Ark” -3 ”, also Mora is drawn to him for deception.

When the heroes were trapped, they finally met Nathan, who was chained, and then immediately learned about Darcy’s plan to freeze everyone, including the deceived Mora, who did not fall into the trap. Deepa, Alice and Ivo managed to disable the car without letting them freeze, and then they get out of the locked chamber and, together with More, enter the battle against Darcy, Luigi and Ralph, as a result of which they defeat the trinity and get out of the “Ark” -3 "along with Nathan.

Upon returning home, the heroes, along with Nathan, begin to free the residents who are stuck under the rubble of the Kraken, where Deep almost sacrificed his life to completely free him from the rubble. After his release, Mora begins to propose an idea where it will be possible to begin to fertilize and increase the population, and Deep (who was afraid to remain the last of his kind) has a second half. As for Darcy and his assistants, they are forced to drift across the ocean on a capsule that Deep accidentally released from the Ark during a fight.

This cartoon has received generally negative reviews. This was the disgusting content of the cartoon, the presence of adult humor and scenes that could be scary for children. The cartoon rating on the reputable Rotten Tomatoes website is 33%, based on 6 reviews ^[3] . On the Metacritic website , the cartoon does not have a rating ^[4] .

Russian film critics gave the cartoon an average rating of ^{[5] [6] [7] [8]} . Journalist Boris Ivanov, in his review of the cartoon, expressed himself as “not bad, but not outstanding,” also noting that this is an achievement for Spanish animation ^[9] . Also, film critics referred to the fact that for adults it will not be interesting.
