Cantharis sucinonigra

Cantharis sucinonigra (Latin) is a fossil species of soft-bodied beetles of the genus Cantharis . Found in European amber ( Poland , Baltic amber , about 35 Ma). Small beetles, body length 6.0 mm (mostly black), red pronotum length 1.5 mm. Similar to the C. nigra De Geer . The species was first described in 1992 by the Polish coleopterologist A. Kushka ( Antoni Kuśka , 1940–2010; Department of Biological Sciences, Academy of Physical Education Katowice, Katowice , Poland ) [1] [2] .
