Twice (album)

In early February 2017, the official Japanese website Twice was opened, and accounts were created on various Internet platforms. In the same month, the first banners featuring the group were spotted in Tokyo . ^{[7] [8]} On February 24, it became known that the Japanese debut was scheduled for June 28. The album was called #Twice and, according to the then information, should contain Japanese and Korean versions of the singles “Like Ohh-Ahh”, “Cheer Up” and “TT”. On July 2, the group held its debut showcase Touchdown in Japan at the Tokyo Sports Palace . ^{[14] [15]}

The band performed " TT " (Japanese ver.) For the first time on a television program on June 30 at Music Station, the first South Korean girl group to perform on the show since 2012. They appeared in a two-hour special episode along with Exile The Second, Kanjani8 , Keyakizaka46 , Dean Fujioka, Tomoyo Harada and Hey! Say! JUMP . ^{[16] [17]}

#Twice debuted at number 2 on the Oricon daily album chart on June 27, 2017, selling 46,871 physical copies. Then on the fifth day he took the top line of the daily chart. ^{[18] [19] [20]} The album finished second on the Oricon weekly album chart, which sold 136,157 units, the highest K-pop artist in Japan for the first week in the last two years.
