Biography

Ursula Urbanyak graduated from the Faculty of National Film School in Lodz (PWSFTviT) in 1991. She then received a master's degree in directing from the National School of Film and Television in the United Kingdom. She made short and documentary films, as well as several dramas for Polish television. These dramas include films like Nina (1994), The Mountain Hotel (based on the play by Vaclav Havel, 1995), The World Gets Married ( Francis Scott Fitzgerald , 1996) and Room 303 (1997).

In 1999, her film “Connection” received several awards [1] , including the “Special scope of the first film” at the Montreal World Film Festival [2] , the Jury Prize at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and the Audience Award at the Turin International Youth Festival Cinema.

Since then, she has worked on several Polish television productions [3] , including On Uspolnie, Life Exam, and Odwróceni.

Since 1995, Ursula has been married to Simon M. Rosenberg, they have a son - Max A. Rosenberg.
