Akabli [1] ( Arabic. أقبلي ) is a city and a commune in the south of Algeria , in the Adrar wilayet . Included in the district of Aulaf .

Geographical position
The city is located in the eastern part of the vilayet, on the territory of one of the oases of the central Sahara , at a distance of approximately 1120 kilometers south-south-west of the capital, Algeria . The absolute height is 252 meters above sea level [2] .
The community of Akabli is bordered by the communes of Reggan , Aulef , Titus and In-Gar ( Tamanrasset wilayet). Its area is 2033 km².
Climate
The city's climate is characterized as arid ( BWh in the Köppen climate classification ). There is practically no precipitation during the year (the average annual amount is 12.7 mm). The average annual temperature is 26.7 ° C [3] .
Population
According to the official census of 2008, the population of the commune was 10,171 people. The proportion of the male population was 51.2%, and the female, respectively 48.8% [4] . The literacy rate of the population was 73.3%. The literacy rate among men was 83.2%, among women 63.4% [5] . 7.5% of Akabli residents had a higher education, 14.5% - secondary education [6] .
