Player Career
Club career
Luis Diego Lopez began his career as a football player at the River Plate Uruguayan club in 1994. Two years later, he joined the Spanish team examples of Santander " Racing ". Coaching career
For a short period, from July to October 2012, Luis Lopez coached the youth team “ Cagliari ” [7] Under his leadership, she defeated her peers from Juventus [5] with a score of 5: 0. On October 2, 2012, he was appointed assistant to the head coach of Cagliari, Ivo Pulgi .
Before the 2013/14 season, Luis Lopez was appointed the head coach of Cagliari, and Ivo Pulga became his assistant. On April 7, he was dismissed from this post, where Pulga again found himself [9] .

January 26, 2017, Luis Lopez signed a contract for the period up to the end of 2018 with the distress in Serie A " Palermo ", becoming the fourth mentor of the Sicilians for the season 2016/17 [13] .
