Lift coefficient

The lift coefficient is a dimensionless quantity that depends on the angle of attack and the shape of the wing profile (Note also that it depends on the Reynolds number ). Used when calculating the wing lift at a known speed, air density and angle of attack . The curve showing the dependence of the magnitude of the coefficient on the angle of attack is usually obtained experimentally, in a wind tunnel or during flight tests .
