On September 10, 2015, Hude Lan announced his collaboration with comic book author Chang Pan Yongzhe ( Chinese 常 盘 勇者 ). Manhua adaptation, written by Chan Pan Yongzhe and illustrated by D.LAN Tsang Lan ( Chinese D.LAN 苍 岚 ), was launched in the Da Jiao Chong mobile comic app ( Chinese 大角 虫 ). As of May 29, 2019, 197 chapters were published ^[12] .

The novel is licensed in Japanese by the publisher Libre , the first volume was published on December 24, 2015 ^[13] . In Japan, the novel is published under the title Master of Skill ( マ ス タ ー オ ブ ス キ ル Masuta: Obu Sukira , literally. “Master Skill”) . It is also officially translated and published in English under the name The King's Avatar (lit. “ King's Avatar ”) on the Qidian International platform ^{[14] [15]} .

The fact that in 2017 the novel will receive an animation adaptation was announced by Hood Lan on August 1, 2016, and official representatives published footage from the first promotional video ^[40] . The preview itself was released on August 22, 2016 ^[41] . G.CMay Animation & Film was engaged in the production of the ONA series, and it was produced by the licensed company Tencent ^[2] . The director was Xiong Ke, the script was written by Liang Sha ^[2] . The series was broadcast from April 7 to June 16, 2017 on the video portals Tencent Video and bilibili ^{[3] [4]} . The opening song “Xin Yang” ( Chinese 信仰 ) was performed by Zhang Jie ( Chinese 张杰 ), and the closing song “Rong Yao Zai Lin” ( Chinese 荣耀 再 临 ) by Dadan Yin Zu ( Chinese 大胆 音 组 ).

On July 6, 2017, at the Tencent Annual Anime Conference , it was announced that work on the second season of the ONA series would begin in May 2018.
