Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- In 1961 - 1965 - Senior Assistant, Attache of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1965 - 1971, Attache, Third, Second Secretary of the USSR Embassy in Denmark .
- In 1971 - 1974 - the second, first secretary of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1974 - 1977 - First Secretary of the USSR Embassy in Norway .
- In 1977 - 1980 - Counselor of the USSR Embassy in Denmark.
- In 1980 - 1983 - Deputy Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- From 1983 to 1988 - Minister Counselor of the USSR Embassy in Finland .
- In 1988 - 1990 - Deputy, First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Personnel and Educational Institutions of the USSR Foreign Ministry.
