History
Kirill Nemolyaev, TV host of the Leningrad Television (the program on metal music “ Stainless Steel ”), teamed up with the musicians of the Trizna group in 1993 to perform parodies of the songs of both metal bands and pop groups , mixing absurd texts from pop cliches with extreme heavy music. The original name of the group was “Carpet” (from the “ cover version ”), then “Cardan Shaft”. Nemolyaev himself initially performed under the pseudonym Fistula.
Having taken part in the transfer of Ivan Demidov's “ Muz-Gonzaz ” on the 1st channel of Ostankino , the group gained its initial fame. The clip for the song "Poster" was broadcast on 2 × 2 and Biz TV channels . The band performed at the opening of the Moscow Cannibal Corpse concert.
In 1994, Nemolyaev formally dissolved the Kardanny Val, but after some changes in composition, the group soon revived under the name Bonnie NEM. Then the debut album “Melodies and Rhythms of a Foreign Band” (1995) was released, based on the Soviet television program of the same name ), which consisted of brutal parodies of famous disco hits. The album was released by PolyGram label, owned by the head of Biz TV Boris Zosimov . The producer at first did not believe in the success of the project, but sales were satisfactory.
Soon after the release of the album, Nemolyaev completely updated the composition, recruiting young musicians. With them was recorded "Melodies and rhythms of foreign pop-2", which was produced by the founder of the Aria Vladimir Holstinin . The album was less successful, and the musicians were already tired of parodies, so in 1997 the group actually split up again.
Another attempt to revive the project was made immediately. Guitarist Alexander Bodrov (ex-Sasha, later Ivy, now Zhuki ) and virtuoso bass player Alexander Krylov (ex Kroner, Sasha, and later Ivy "," Scream "(" Krylov and company ")). The place behind the drum set was taken by a young drummer from the city of Ulyanovsk, Andrei Krotov. Rehearsed "Biily Jean" by Michael Jackson , "Ma Baker" Boney M and "It's A Beautiful Life" Ace Of Base . Boris Zosimov financed the rehearsals of the ensemble, but when he persistently wished to hear the processing of the song “My Bunny”, the project was closed.
Nemolyaev joined the St. Petersburg rock band "Coma" and played in it until 2002. At this time, Boni NEM releases only collections of "best hits" from old albums.
In 2002, Boni NEM's activity resumed, concerts began. The new composition of the project includes several members of the alternative Slot group. The albums Victory Day, Underbody, Foreskin are released.
The director of the group is Emma Simonyan - the wife of rock poet Arkady Semenov .
