Story
After 15 years as a teacher in the village of Nazim, he returns to Istanbul. There he meets a friend who offers him to work as a taxi driver. One day Nazym met a woman named Dyunya, who was being pursued by her ex-husband Khalil. Nazym wants to help Dunye and her daughter Melek, but his children, with whom he has a difficult relationship, oppose [3] [4] [5] .

Criticism
Meltem Jumbul received the FIPRESCI Award Best Actress Award from the International Film Press Federation at the Palm Springs International Film Festival [6] .
Shener Shen won the nomination “Best Actor” at the Golden Orange Film Festival [7] .
The film was nominated for an Oscar from Turkey, but did not enter the shortlist [8] . Also, the film “Mental Wound” received the “Best Feature award” - the highest award of the Queens International Film Festival [9] .
In April 2006, the film was shown at the Boston Turkish Film Festival [8] .
