Mikhail Shuevich Mamkhegov ( Kabard-Cherk. Mamkheg Shu and Kue Mikhail ; July 14, 1936 - April 19, 2005 ) - Soviet and Russian statesman, chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1988-1991. People's Deputy of the Russian Federation in 1990-1993 [1] [2] [3] .

Biography

He graduated from the Kuban Agricultural Institute (1959) and the Higher Party School of the Central Committee of the CPSU. Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.

He began his career in 1959 as an engineer on the Malokabardinskaya RTS. He worked as a mechanical engineer at the Krasny Terek collective farm, and a senior engineer at the Selkhoztekhnika republican association.

  • 1965-1966 - second secretary of the Terek district committee of the CPSU of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
  • 1966-1974 - Chairman of the Association "Kabbalkselkhoztehnika".
  • 1974-1977 - First Secretary of the Terek District Committee of the CPSU of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
  • 1977-1984 - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
  • 1984-1985 - Secretary of the Kabardino-Balkarian Regional Committee of the CPSU.
  • 1985-1988 - Second Secretary of the Kabardino-Balkarian Regional Committee of the CPSU
  • 1988-1991 - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
  • 1991 - General Director of the Kabardino-Balkarian Association of the Dairy Industry (Nalchik).
  • 1997-2003 - Member of the Council of the Republic of the Parliament of the CBD.

He was elected a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the RSFSR (1990-1991), People's Deputy of the Russian Federation (1990-1993), deputy of the Supreme Council of the KBASSR 9-12 convocations. Repeatedly elected a member of the bureau of the regional committee of the CPSU.

Awards and titles

He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, two orders of the Badge of Honor, and many medals.

Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Honorary Citizen of the city of Nalchik.

Honorary citizen of the city of Terek.
