Sally Jane Axworthy [1] ( born Sally Jane Axworthy ; born September 1, 1964 ) is the British ambassador [2] to the Vatican [3] , holder of the Order of the British Empire . She is married to Michael Axworthy and has four children.

Education
Sally Axuorsi [4] graduated from graduate school with a degree in modern history at Oxford University, majoring in economics and law.
Career
She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986. In 1987, she was a Service Officer covering Hungary and Czechoslovakia . From 1988 to 1989, she studied the Russian language in preparation for sending to Moscow, and in 1989 as the third secretary, commercial. She remained in Moscow until 1991, when she was transferred to Kiev as second secretary for economics [5] .
From 1993 to 1994, she was in London the head of the Political Department and the UN Office. . For two years since 1998, she headed the department of Turkey, Cyprus and Malta before being sent to the government office in the southwest as an assistant director.
On September 19, 2016, she presented her credentials to Pope Francis [6] , starting her mission in the Holy See [7] [8] .
