L.A. Gridin is known for the development and implementation in practice of methods for the rehabilitation of flight personnel and military personnel exposed to stress factors. He studied the effectiveness of using a set of methods and means of alternative medicine to speed up the process of restoring the functional state of hazardous occupations, which created the preconditions for extending the professional longevity of these specialists and led to a significant socio-economic effect.

Member of the Russian section of the International Academy of Sciences, is a member of a specialized scientific council on restorative medicine, physical therapy, balneology and physiotherapy. Included in the Council of the Moscow professional association of manual therapists. Author and co-author of over 150 scientific papers, including 6 monographs.

PCFSR Honored Doctor Gridin Leonid Aleksandrovich is a prominent scientist and clinician in the field of methods and means of alternative medicine, restorative medicine and manual therapy, as well as the integrated use of corrective technologies, taking into account the potentiation of the effects of restoring functional resources. For the development and introduction of the practice of shaping and preserving the health of people in hazardous occupations and the population of extreme, aerospace and restorative medicine, the Government of the Russian Federation award was awarded in 2004 in the field of science and technology.

Research interests: Health Organization and Public Health, Human Ecology, Environmental Medicine, Arctic Medicine, Aviation and Space Medicine. The founder of new areas of research: restorative medicine.
