Sergio Pereira is a Brazilian of English descent [1] . He began his career in 1915 at the Paulistano Club [1] . The following year, he celebrated his victory in the state championship of Sao Paulo [2] , and then helped the club win three more championships in a row [1] . The player also won the 1921 championship with Paulistano, and also took part in a club tour in Europe in 1925 [1] .
As part of the Brazilian national team, Sergio Pereira made his debut on May 11, 1919 in the South American Championship [3] . In the same tournament, he spent all 4 matches, and his team achieved the first victory in the tournament in history [4] [5] .
