It is located at a distance of 26 kilometers from the center of Yaroslavl (exit from the city along the Main Street) - further westward along the road to Uglich .
From Nikulsky there are also direct roads to Tutaev (north direction, distance to Tutaev - 23 kilometers) and to the M 8 road (Moscow – Yaroslavl – Vologda highway), exit from Nikulsky to the south, distance to the M 8 road - 13 kilometers.
In the central part of the village there are several panel three-story and brick houses and other concrete structures.
There is a shop and post office.
In the village there is a museum "Cosmos", the exposition of which is devoted to the life journey of Valentina Tereshkova , who was born in Tutaevsky district, as well as the achievements of Russia in space exploration.
