Shibik ( Shebik, Shebid [2] ) - a river in Russia , flows through the Crimean region of the Krasnodar Territory . The river is 22 [3] km long. The catchment area is 65.5 [3] km².

One of the sources flows down from the northern slope of Vysoky Bugor Mountain (580 m), the other from the northern slope of Svintsovaya Mountain (683 m). There are tributaries from the mountains of Lysaya, Soldiersky Porub, Sinetskaya. At 10 km, it receives the small river Karasu-Bazar from the tract of the same name, 15 km flows through the Shibik farm (flows into a small lake in front of it), 23 km through the Novoukrainsky farm. The mouth - 3.9 km on the right bank of the Second River (Kulichka) , after the farm [4] .
Etymology
The etymology of the name of the river, according to V.N. Koveshnikov, is associated with Adyghe. Shybeko , where is Adyghe. shy - “horse”, Circassian. be - "a lot" and Adyghe. kyo - “valley”, that is, “herd river” (“horse coast of the valley” or “horse deepening of the valley”, “valley with a coast convenient for horses”) [2] .
