Biography

Born on June 6, 1904 in the village of Krivoy Buzan , now in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Astrakhan region, in a working family.

In 1936 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Journalism . He worked in the newspapers of Astrakhan and Stalingrad. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1932.

During the Great Patriotic War - correspondent of the army newspapers "For the Homeland" (3rd Baltic Front), "For the Honor of the Homeland" (20A). Lieutenant colonel..

In 1946-1958 he worked in the newspapers Komsomolskaya Pravda and Izvestia .

In 1958-1975, he was the chief editor of the Crocodile magazine .

He died on September 6, 1986 . He was buried in Moscow at the Kuntsevo cemetery [1] .
