Pierre Van Dormal (May 24, 1952 - September 3, 2008, Brussels) is a Belgian musician and composer.

In 1988, he played in the James Baldwin Project with David Lynx and Deborah Brown (vocalists), Slide Hampton (trombone), Dyderick Wissels (piano), Bob Stewart (tuba) and Michelle Hatzigeorgiou (bass).
Van Dormal was also a member of the Nasa Na Band jazz band. He recorded soundtracks for the films of his brother, director Jaco Van Dormal ( Toto-hero , Day Eight , Mr. Nobody ).
In 2007, he received the Belgian Golden Django Award. Posthumously he received the Magritte Award for his work in the movie Mr. Nobody .
He died of cancer at the age of 56, September 3, 2008.
