History

The title [1] was presented on July 1, 2012 at the NXT [3] when Commissioner Dusty Rhodes [5] announced the tournament, the winner of which will be the first ever NXT champion [1] . The tournament was attended by both NXT [3] resellers and resellers from the main WWE roster [2] . In the tournament finals, Seth Rollins [4] and Ginder Mahal [6] met.
