Gorgiladze, Avtandil (football player)

Avtandil Gorgiladze (February 26, 1955) - Soviet and Georgian footballer , who played the attacker position, and football coach. Record holder of Batumi "Dynamo" in the number of goals in the USSR Championships (187).

Biography

He began performing at the adult level in 1974 as part of the Dynamo Batumi . In 1978 he became the club's top scorer with 17 goals, after which he was invited to the leading team of the republic - Dinamo Tbilisi . However, as part of the Tbilisi team in 1979, he played only one match for the double, in which he scored a goal, and in the same season he returned to Batumi. In 1982, he became the top scorer of the Transcaucasian second league zone with 28 goals.

In the summer of 1983, he joined the Torpedo Kutaisi , which played in the big leagues that season. The debut match at the highest level was played on August 2, 1983 against Dnipro [1] . He scored his first goal in the big leagues in the second match - on August 5 against Shakhtar Donetsk [2] . In total, Torpedo played 10 matches and scored 3 goals (two of them from the penalty spot).

Returning to Batumi, he and the team left the second league for the first. In 1984-1987 in the first league scored 56 goals. In total, the Batumi Dynamo scored 187 goals in the USSR Championships and at least two goals in the Cup of the country [3] .

In the fall of 1993, he was the playing head coach of the Shukura club ( Kobuleti ), playing in the highest league of Georgia . Later he worked in the coaching staff of the Batumi Dynamo.
