In 1980-1986 - leading engineer of Special Design and Technological Bureau “Tantalum” at AIM.
From 1986, he worked at IPSM RAS: Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, Head of Laboratory No. 10 “Superplastic Processing of Advanced Materials”. Scientific secretary of the dissertation council D 002.080.02 at IPSM RAS [2] . Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council of the IPSM RAS.
R. Ya. Lutfullin is a specialist in the field of superplastic deformation of materials and the practical use of this phenomenon in technology. Revealed the effect of grain-boundary slippage on the increased weldability of crystalline materials in the solid state. Under his leadership, laid the scientific foundations of integrated technologies for the manufacture of hollow products of complex shape from titanium alloys by combining superplastic forming and pressure welding, as well as the basis of pressure welding nanostructured materials using the effect of low-temperature superplasticity.
Merit
Awarded a medal. Honored Inventor of the Republic of Belarus (2001).
