About the album
In 1992, guitarist Vyacheslav Sidorov and drummer Tony Shender joined the group. While awaiting Andrei Bolshakov’s recovery, Alik Granovsky composed new songs in the style of progressive thrash (he later described in an interview the style of the album as “art-thrash progressive” [1] ). The lyrics were in English, as in the previous album of Talk of the Devil , since Alik planned to return to Belgium in the new year. In the winter of 1993-1994, he agreed with the studio of the Stas Namin Center to record an album, which was called " Maniac Party ". Andrei Bolshakov sometimes came to the studio, watched what his friends were doing and once tried to record something. These few notes are preserved in the song “Screams of Pain” . As a result, he said that he could no longer and did not want to make music [2] . Also in the recording of the album was Sergei Popov , who soon returned to the group to replace Vyacheslav Sidorov, who did a lot for this album [3] . Thus, in 1994, the "Master" formed the second permanent composition.
Maniac Party was released by APEX (CD and CD) in 1994, and POLYGRAM released a vinyl disc. Later, in 2002 and 2007, re-releases of the album on CD-Maximum were released. [four]

Reviews
Darkside.ru: review of the MASTER - "Maniac Party" (1994) [8]
“Maniac Party” is an almost perfect thrash album, fast, technical, furious. There is practically no weak point; out of the total number of songs, the Punk Guys is very strong. The material is more qualitative and varied than in the previous English language Talk of the Devil. The sound is also denser. Vocal Seryshev sounds more confident, does not cause any complaints. Moreover, he listens with a bang. A very good decision was to take Tony Shender as a drummer - he gives all his best, and I’m not afraid to call him one of the best drummers I have ever heard. The efforts of the guitarists, and the bass player in the person of Alik Granovsky, the permanent leader of the group, are perfectly felt.
The journal "Iron March" (1994) [3]
Despite the almost complete cessation of concert activity (and maybe because of this), the Moscow group “Master” has been releasing more and more powerful and interesting albums for the last two years, and maybe this only keeps a narrow circle of devoted fans. The previous record, “Talk Of The Devil,” was already quite serious and tough, but “Maniac Party” was a cut above and an order of magnitude cooler. Like most cool musicians, "Master" has released a new album unlike any of the previous ones. "Maniac Party" is an organic combination of pressure and aggression (a la "Sepultura") with a variety of sophisticated instrumental chips, beautiful melodies, frequent changes of themes and sizes (a la "Annihilator"). Misha Seryshev is even more competent in singing (or qualified growling), and what the rhythm section does (A. Granovsky - A. Shenderov) is a complete atas! And if Alik Granovsky is one of the honored bass masters, then, it seems, the play of Tolyan Shenderov will be a pleasant surprise for many fans. There are simply no weak tracks on this album - it’s a very smooth job, therefore the first two things and "They Are Just Like Us" with a non-acidic guitar solo are most slavishly listened to. As usual, there’s a bass solo on the Master’s record - this time called “Time X”. The talk about the record and sound quality of this record is worthy of special discussion (and E. Trushin couldn’t do it here), but to say nothing here is to just buy this album and listen at high volume! This record is worthy of being included in the lists of Russian trash classics. It remains to congratulate the group on another cool work, to wish them every success; it’s only a pity that the guitarist Slava Sidorov, who did a lot for this record, broke up with “Master” ...
