Legislative Assembly (Suglan) of the Evenki Autonomous Area

The Legislative Assembly (Suglan) of the Evenk Autonomous District ( Evenk. Evedy Autonomous District Suglanin ) - the legislative (representative) unicameral state body of the Evenk Autonomous District in 1994-2006, was the permanent highest and only legislative body of the region.

Convocations

1 convocation (1994–1997)

Legislative Suglan of the Evenk Autonomous District was formed by the Decree of the Administration of Evenk Autonomous District of December 24, 1993 No. 76. A new representative body of state power of the Evenk Autonomous District was formed - the Legislative Suglan of the Evenk Autonomous District, which is the successor of the Council of People's Deputies of the Evenk Autonomous District.

March 27, 1994, elections of deputies of the Legislative Suglan of the first convocation took place.

On June 17, 1994, twenty-two deputies of Legislative Suglan (later of the Legislative Assembly (Suglan)), who had been democratically elected on an alternative basis, gathered for an organizational session and decided on the leadership of the district legislature and the composition of committees and commissions.

2nd convocation (1997–2001)

Elections were held on December 22, 1996. The Legislative Assembly (Suglan) of the EAO of the second convocation conducted its activities from January 1997 to April 2001. Anatoly Amosov was elected chairman.

3rd convocation (2001–2006)

Elections were held on April 8, 2001 in 23 single-member constituencies. Anatoly Amosov was elected chairman. [3]

Conversion

After the referendum on the unification of April 17, 2005, Suglan’s powers were extended to the formation of a new subject [4] . On February 3, 2005, the Evenki District Council of Deputies was established. [5] On December 21, 2006, the XXIV Session of the Legislative Assembly (Suglan) of the Evenki Autonomous District, which completed the activity of the legislative body of Evenkia, was held in Tours. For twelve and a half years, the Legislative Assembly (Suglan) passed 699 laws.

Court of Accounts

The Legislative Assembly (Suglan), exercising supervisory powers, in accordance with local law, formed the Accountability Chamber, accountable to the representative body of the district, which began work on January 1, 1996. The Accounts Chamber was dissolved due to the abolition of Suglan.
