Shadows Fall is an American metal band from Springfield , formed in 1995. For most studio work, the composition of Shadows Fall was assigned to Brian Fair ( vocals ), Jonathan Donais ( solo guitar ), Matt Bachand ( rhythm guitar ), Paul Romanko ( bass guitar ) and Jason Bittner ( drums ). Throughout its existence, the group released seven studio albums , three collections, two DVDs and nine singles. The team was twice nominated for a Grammy in the category " Best Metal Performance ".

At the end of 2011, the group went to the studio to record their seventh full-length album. The release, dubbed Fire From the Sky , was released on May 15, 2012. The producer of the album was Adam Dutkevich, who had previously worked with the group on their debut record.
Since 2014, due to the employment of participants in third-party projects, Shadows Fall temporarily suspended their concert activities.
