The jubilee medal “25 years of independence of Ukraine” ( Ukrainian juvenile medal “25 years of independence of Ukraine” ) is the insignia of the President of Ukraine - the state award of Ukraine , established with the aim of worthy rewarding of citizens on the occasion of a significant event in the history of the national state - the 25th anniversary of independence Ukraine .

The medal was established to reward citizens for outstanding personal services in the formation of independent Ukraine, the assertion of its sovereignty and the strengthening of international authority, a significant contribution to state building, socio-economic, cultural and educational development, active socio-political activities, conscientious and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people.

Award History
- The insignia of the President of Ukraine - the anniversary medal “25 years of independence of Ukraine” was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on February 17, 2016 [1] [2] . The decree instructed the Commission of State Awards and Heraldry to approve the conditions and conduct an all-Ukrainian competition [3] for the best sketch of a medal; submit by April 15, 2016 the draft Regulation on the medal, and also taking into account the results of the competition, the draft medal design.
- April 29, 2016 by decree of the President of Ukraine approved the Regulation on the insignia, drawings of the medal and diploma [4] .
Medal Regulation
- The jubilee medal is awarded to citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons.
- Awarding a jubilee medal posthumously is not performed.
- Nominations for the jubilee medal are carried out in accordance with the Procedure for submission to the awarding and presentation of state awards of Ukraine [5] .
- The application for the award of citizens with a jubilee medal along with the award sheets of a standard form shall be submitted by the regional, Kiev city state administrations, other state bodies to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the manner specified by them.
- The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine prepares and submits the presentation of the anniversary medal to the President of Ukraine. Such a presentation is entered by the list in paper form and on electronic media. The award sheets are attached to the submission. The presentation on awarding citizens with a jubilee medal is submitted for consideration to the President of Ukraine no later than one month before the relevant date.
- The jubilee medal is awarded by decree of the President of Ukraine.
- A person awarded a jubilee medal shall be awarded a medal and diploma of the established format A4.
Wear Order
- The insignia of the President of Ukraine - the anniversary medal "25 years of independence of Ukraine" is worn on the left side of the chest after the insignia of the President of Ukraine - the anniversary medal "20 years of independence of Ukraine".
- Instead of the jubilee medal, the recipient can wear a bar (on uniform) or a miniature (on civilian clothes). The strap is worn on the chest on the left and placed in the same sequence. The thumbnail is worn on the chest on the left.
