Game career
Yuel was born into the family of Anna Ek and Klas Eriksson - the Swedish hockey player, who played all his playing career with the Ferrierstad , three-time champion of Sweden. Therefore, to study hockey, following the example of his father, Ericsson Ek, like his younger brother Ulle , also began in the youth school of this Karlstad team [1] . A professional debut took place for Ericsson Eka on October 8, 2014 during a meeting with Volerenga in the Champions League [2] . On January 14, 2015, Yuel signed his first professional contract with Ferriestad [3] and played 34 matches in his first season in the Swedish Championship .
Before the 2015 NHL draft, Ericsson Ek was considered among the best European players and was eventually selected in the first round under the 20th number by the Minnesota Wild team, becoming the best Swedish hockey player at this fair [4] . After the selection, Euel noted that he did not expect a choice from Minnesota, because despite a series of interviews with team representatives, they did not show any external interest in him, and also said that he intends to spend the next season in Sweden to strengthen his skills [5] . By the decision of Tommy Samuelsson, Ericsson Ek played the 2015/16 season in the special youth unit of Ferriestad, along with Oscar Steen and Rasmus Asplund [6] .
Since the fall of 2017, Yuel has moved to North America. On October 22, 2016, he played his first National Hockey League match against the New Jersey Devils and scored an abandoned goal [7] . However, Bruce Boudreau soon reduced his playing time, which forced Ericsson Eck to return to Ferriestad from November 18, 2016 [8] . On March 28, 2017, before the playoff games, the Wild leadership challenged Yuel again to the team [9] , for which he managed to play another 9 meetings.
At the international level, Yuel was repeatedly involved in the junior and youth national team of Sweden . On May 21, 2017, together with the adult national team, Ericsson Ek became the world champion, having played in all ten championship matches and scored three points for performance [10] .
