Participation in beauty contests
In 2010 received the title Young Miss Maryland . [2] Spent five months preparing for the contest and decided to participate after talking with a friend. “I decided to participate in the Young Miss Maryland Beauty Contest after talking with a friend who participated two years before me. And this prompted to take part. It seemed to her that I would enjoy participating. After winning the regional competition, she introduced the state at the national level, to Miss United USA, ”said Kami. [3] Also, received a special Miss Photogenic Award. The training was led by Lauren Merola, the winner of Miss Pennsylvania 2008. [4]
July 24, 2010, Maryland presented at the Miss Miss USA 2010 beauty pageant, where she became the first holder of the title. [5] Participants from across the country participated in three outputs: a bathing suit, an evening gown interview. The show was hosted by Seth Goldman and Miss USA 2008 - Crystal Stuart [6]
In October 2016, she reported that “Mr. Trump does not like black people.” [7] [8] She wrote: “Fortunately for me, I was a“ kind of “black that he liked” [9]
Personal life
Born in the family of Victor and Carla Crawford. The oldest child of the five girls is Victoria, Carinton, and the Kinadi and Kendle twins. [10] It has Jamaican, German, Irish, Cuban Indian and African American roots. [11] Speaks in three languages - English , English and Jamaican Creole . [10]
