Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the Astrakhan region, on the right bank of the Tyurin channel of the Volga river delta , at a distance of about 6 kilometers (as the crow flies) to the east-northeast (ENE) from the village Volodarsky , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 24 meters below sea level [2] . The climate is temperate, sharply continental. It is characterized by high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter, low precipitation, as well as large annual and summer daily temperature amplitudes.

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 525 people (250 men and 275 women) [1] . According to the results of the 2002 census , in the national structure of the population, Kazakhs were 98% [4] .
Infrastructure
In the village there are the main comprehensive school [5] , a feldsher-midwife center (a branch of the state budgetary institution of health of the Volodarskaya TsRB JSC) [6] , a country club [7] and a branch of the Russian Post .
