Created games
- In 1940, Nimatron was created - a computer gaming electronic relay machine for playing it . It is considered the first computer that was intended for entertainment. This device was developed by the American physicist Edward Condon in the winter of 1939/1940, and was first installed at the World Exhibition in New York in 1940 . The device was assembled by Edward Condon and his assistants Gerald L. Tawney and Willard Derr. On September 24, 1940, a patent was granted to the device [1] .
- In 1941, an improved version of Nimatron was created by Raymond Redheffer [2] .
- In 1947, a game on a cathode-ray tube (CRT) was created. This device is considered to be the first electronic game developed, as well as the first game with a CRT screen [3] . The game was created by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann ( born Estle Ray Mann ), who received a patent No. 2 455 992 dated December 14, 1948 [4] .
- In 1948, Alan Turing, together with his former colleague David Champernovnom I began to write a chess program for a computer that did not exist yet [5] .

- In 1947, Harry Mabs invented the flipper in the game Pinball , which is considered one of the most fundamental innovations in this genre, which changed the approach to game design and game mechanics design; Humpty Dumpty is issued on this basis [6] .
