Gorshkov, Vladimir Pavlovich

Born on November 19, 1926 in the village of Ermolaevka, now Smolensk region . In 1941 he graduated from the seven classes of Shalyginsky secondary school; in the same year he was evacuated to the Altai Territory . In July 1943 he graduated from a parachute school in Barnaul ^[1] . In November 1943 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . From December 1943 to May 1944 he studied at the Irkutsk school of aircraft mechanics , after which he was sent to the Voznesensk school of pilots as a mechanic. He took part in the Soviet-Japanese war . In July 1946, demobilized for health reasons.

In 1947 he graduated from 10 classes of a secondary school in the city of Uzin, Kiev region . In 1948 - 1953 - student of the history department of Kiev State University . In 1953 - 1956 - graduate student of the Department of History of the CPSU of the same university. In 1957 - 1959 - lecturer of the Kiev branch of the Central Museum of V.I. Lenin . From October 1959 to September 1960 - a junior research fellow at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR . In 1960, under the leadership of the candidate of historical sciences A.A. Borodin , defended his thesis on the topic: “The struggle of the Communist Party (b) U for the unity of their ranks during the period of restoration of the national economy (1921-1923).

Since 1960 - Acting Associate Professor of the Department of History of the CPSU of Kiev State University. Since 1962 - Associate Professor of the same department. In 1970 - 1972 he worked as a senior research fellow for writing a doctoral dissertation. After the end of the term he returned to his previous place of work. Since 1973 - Vice - Rector for Academic Affairs of Kiev State University. Since 1976 - professor of the Department of History of the Communist Party of the Humanities. In 1976 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the theme: "The implementation of the Leninist principles of party building in Ukraine (1921-1925)." From 1980 - 1990 - Head of the Department of History of the CPSU. Since 1990 - Professor of the Department of Socio-Political History and Acting Head of the same Department. Since 1991 - Professor at the Department of Political History for the Faculty of Humanities. Since June 1996 - retired.

He died on July 7, 2002 in Kiev . He was buried at the Bike cemetery .

The author of about 100 publications. Among them:

• Leninsky party principle in Ukraine. - Kiev, 1974;
• With one hat in the one of the lavas. - Kiev, 1972;
• X З'їзд RCP (b). - Kiev, 1971.

Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Ukrainian SSR (since April 8, 1987 ). He was awarded the orders of World War II degree, Friendship of Peoples , 16 medals .
