Vladimir Anatolievich Tagantsev ( May 19, 1946 - May 19, 2017 ) - Russian weapons designer, chief designer of the development and modernization of weapons control systems for Su-30MK, Su-30MK2, Su-27SM fighters. Laureate of the prize named after V.V. Tikhomirov.

Biography
Graduated from Kazan Aviation Institute (1970).
Since 1970, he worked at the V.V. Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Engineering . Since 1990, the head of the research department is the deputy chief engineer.
Since 2000, he has been the chief designer of weapons control systems for Su-30MK , Su-30MK2 , and Su-27SM fighters .
Since 2015, he has been the chief designer of the Irbis radar control system for the Su-35 fighter.
Laureate of the prize named after V.V. Tikhomirov. Honorary radio operator of the Russian Federation, Honorary aircraft manufacturer of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the Orders of Friendship and the Badge of Honor, and medals of the USSR.
He died suddenly on May 19, 2017.
