The former Finnish village, until 1939, part of the village of Sairala , was part of the Kirva volost of the Vyborg province of Finland .
It was renamed in 1948. The renaming was approved by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of January 13, 1949. The old name is interesting because of the possible connection with the toponyms Tikhvin , Tver .
According to 1990, the village Mikhalevo was part of the Borodino Village Council [2] .
In 1997, 680 people lived in the village, in 2007 - 663 [3] [4] .
