Biography

Born in 1947 in one of the oldest culture-forming cities of the Ferghana Valley - Margilan . Ancestors arrived in the Soviet Union from Korea and settled in Vladivostok , later in 1937 they moved to the Ferghana region of the Uzbek SSR . He perfectly knows the Uzbek language, traditions and customs of the local population, and over time he became the personification of the Uzbek people as a major sports figure and an outstanding diplomat.

After graduating from the Tashkent Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, he "grew up" to the post of chairman of the committee for physical education and sports of the Ferghana region, deputy chairman of the Ferghana Oblast Executive Committee, deputy chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Uzbek SSR .

Vitaliy Vasilievich made a huge contribution to the development of mass sports in the region and did a lot to prepare the USSR Olympic teams on the basis of sports facilities in Ferghana. The leadership of the former Soviet team at the Olympic Games in Seoul (1988) included V. Fen in the delegation, where he greatly helped the chairman of the USSR Sports Committee Marat Gramov in his adaptation in South Korea . The Korean side was also grateful for the fruitful cooperation and, on the personal instructions of the then President of South Korea, Ro De Wu , Fen was presented with a car.

At the diplomatic service

After gaining independence in 1995, on the initiative of 1 - President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganievich Karimov, he was appointed to the diplomatic post, head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in South Korea . After that, in December 1995, he arrived in South Korea with the mission to open the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul .

During his tenure, he organized 8 mutual visits and 9 meetings of the head of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganievich Karimov with the presidents of South Korea . Fruitfulness is also seen in the fact that South Korea specifically provided and continues to provide real financial and technical assistance in the development of Uzbekistan , while in the most promising sectors of engineering, light industry, oil and gas and high technology. It should be emphasized that it was always easy for official representatives, entrepreneurs and public figures of Uzbekistan to resolve issues in South Korea , as the authority of the Uzbek Ambassador contributed to this.

In 2013, Vitaly Vasilievich Fen, after more than 17 years of service, completed his diplomatic mission in South Korea [1] , arrived in his native Fergana in his father's house, and was with his family and friends on a well-deserved rest.

The Government of South Korea , praised the merits of the former Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to South Korea , Vitaly Vasilyevich Fen was awarded the Order of Gwanghwa for his services to the diplomatic service. The award ceremony took place on January 16, 2014 at the Embassy of South Korea in Tashkent. During the awarding ceremony, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lee Uk Hyun, showed his respect to Vitaly Vasilyevich Fen for his active diplomatic activities.

“For his seventeen-year diplomatic activity from 1996 to July 2013, represented by the head of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in South Korea , he made a great contribution to raising the level between our countries to the level of strategic partners, the successful conduct of 8 mutual visits and 9 meetings of the heads of two states and more " [2]

Return to the diplomatic service

In 2017, the newly elected President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev, Shavkat Miromonovich, invited Vitaly Vasilyevich Fen to again head the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan in South Korea , to which he replied, “Ready to serve the Fatherland!” On May 27, 2017, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Uzbek veteran ambassador Vitaly Vasilyevich Fen as the head of the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Uzbekistan in South Korea [3] [4] .

Hobbies
