Park "Kortumova Gora" ( Ukrainian park "Kortumova Gora" ) - a park in Lviv ( Ukraine ). It is located in the western part of the city, on the slopes of the mountain of the same name, which is a continuation of the Rastochye massif to the west of the highest point of Lviv - the High Castle ). Kortumova Mountain itself at the highest point reaches a height of 374 meters. It is a geological monument of nature (since 1984 ). [1] The total area of the Kortumova Gora Park is 21.4 ha.
The name comes from the surname of the provincial adviser Ernest Kortum (died in 1811 ), who in his estate laid a garden, which later became part of the Kortumova Gora park.
In 1672 , there was a camp of the hetman D. Doroshenko and his Turkish allies who besieged Lviv.
