Estimator, Vera Petrovna

Vera Petrovna Tokarenko was born on December 13, 1938 in Murmansk. At the beginning of World War II , her family was evacuated to the Ukrainian USSR.

She graduated from the medical and obstetric school in the city of Cherkasy (1952-1956, with honors) and the medical faculty of Uzhgorod State University (1956-1962).

In 1962-1964, she worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at a hospital in Chop (Transcarpathian region) with a rural settlement.

In 1967 she defended her thesis, topic "The state of the system of hyaluronic acid - hyaluronidase - antigialuronidase in late pregnancy toxicosis."

Since 1967 - in the department of gynecological endocrinology of the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (until 1992, the All-Union Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the USSR Ministry of Health): Junior, Senior Researcher, Head of the Department of Gynecological Endocrinology with the Federal Center “Women's Health Over 40 Years” .

Doctor of Medical Sciences (1980, topic of the dissertation "Neuroendocrine system in menopause and ovarian exhaustion syndrome"), professor (1985). In 1999 he was awarded the title "Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation."

Since 1992, President of the Russian Association of Gynecologists-Endocrinologists.

She has published 360 scientific works, including the non-operative gynecology manual (3 editions: 1990, 1995, 2002), the Menopause Guide (2001, 2003), the menopause Climacteric Syndrome (1989), About Your Health, women "," All about menstruation. " The author of 8 inventions.
