Biography

Born in Anderson , South Carolina . She graduated from College of Charleston, was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, and received a bachelor's degree in humanities in English. Later, she received a Master of Arts in Education from The Citadel. After graduation, she taught English literature at North Charleston High School.

Her first television work was on WCSC-TV in Charleston , South Carolina. Where she was an educational reporter and temporarily replaced the presenter. [one]

Participation in beauty contests

After winning the title of Miss South Carolina , she participated in the Miss USA 1994 national beauty pageant . She won first place in the semifinals, winning all three contests. After the semi-finals, she entered the Top 6, becoming the second. Having won the title, she became the third representative of the state who won the title of Miss USA. She participated in the international beauty contest Miss Universe 1994 . Where she entered the Top 6 finalists finalists [2] and becoming fourth according to the results of the competition.

Career

In San Antonio, was hired by KABB as a weekend host and reporter. She became the main presenter in 2000. In January 2005, she moved to Los Angeles and joined Frank Buckley as co-host of the KTLA channel with the KTLA Prime News weekend program. In 2007, she co-authored a program on the weekday of the KTLA Morning News program at 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM with Sher Calvin . In January 2008, it became the main host of the KTLA Prime News program.
