Aran ( Persian اران ) is a village in the north of Iran , in the Alborz ostan . It is part of the shahrestan Savodzhbolag . It is part of Dehestan (rural district) of Seyidabad Central Bakhsh .

Geography
The village is located in the central part of Alborz, south of the Elburs Range, about 18 kilometers west of Keredzh , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 1276 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the village was 342 people (181 men and 161 women). In Aran, there were 94 families. The literacy rate of the population was 72.51%. The literacy rate among men was 75.69%, among women - 68.94% [2] .
