Apostolic nuncio in Thailand and Singapore , apostolic delegate in Laos , Malaysia and Myanmar from July 26, 1993 to May 30, 1999. Apostolic nuncio in Cambodia from July 16, 1994 to May 30, 1999. Archbishop of Trento from May 30, 1999 to February 10, 2016.
