Biography
Born in 1954, in St. Charles, Illinois.
She took part in Miss Illinois , to which she was sent from her modeling agency. She was also supported by her sister [1] [2] Paula Zann , a friend of Comstock, accepted in the competition and entered Top 5. [3] A month after the victory, she received the Miss USA title, which was held in Niagara Falls . The crown passed from the hands of Amanda Jones , the winner of 1973 . [4] She was wearing a white chiffon dress tailored by Alice Hamm from Alyce Designs . Her prize package was $ 7,500, a contract of $ 7,500, a scholarship of $ 3,000, a new car, color TV, stereo system and clothes. She represented the USA at the Miss Universe 1974 international beauty contest , which was broadcast from Manila , Philippines . In the finals she went to the semifinals. Personal life
She attended Haines Junior High School and St. Charles East High School. She was a freshman at the University of Wisconsin in Madison when she won the Miss USA title. But left school for a modeling career in New York . [1] [4] In 1976, she returned to Illinois, converted to Protestant Christianity and traveled around the country, representing a non-profit organization called "Sharing Ministries". [one]
Married Gordon Comstock. Four children were born in the marriage. [7]
