Born on March 14, 1927 in the village of Kosharintsy, Vinnytsia region, in a family of collective farmers.
From a young age he worked as a shepherd, even did school homework when shepherding from cows and goats.
When the war began, he studied in the 7th grade, until 1944 he was in occupation , according to him, " we had to serve the enemies, we were forced to give everything that we grew up ." After being liberated by the Red Army, when clearing the field of ammunition, he was blown up on a live projectile and lost his left arm to the elbow.
After the war, he graduated from high school and in 1947-1952 studied as an agronomist at the Uman Agricultural Institute .
By distribution, he was sent to Mordovia in Atyashevsky district as the chief agronomist of the regional land department.
In 1953, he was appointed chief agronomist of the Paraney MTS, since 1954 its director. Since 1955 - member of the CPSU .
In 1958, when the MTS were abolished, he was appointed head of the agricultural department of the Atyashevsky district executive committee.
At the beginning of 1959, reporting and election meetings were held on the collective farms and the party district committee instructed him to hold such a meeting on the Gorky collective farm in the village of Alov , which was in a very difficult situation. The collective farmers rejected all the proposed candidates and insisted on the election of Klimbovsky, whom they knew as the director of the MTS of the neighboring village of Paraney, as their chairman. Knowing the position on the collective farm, Klimbovsky did not want to occupy the post of chairman, but, under pressure from the first secretary of the CPSU district committee Nikon Ignatiev, he agreed.
In a short time, a solid material base was created on the collective farm: new cowsheds, a pig farm. Introduced modern technology in field cultivation and livestock.
Already in 1965, the collective farm's cash income exceeded 1.4 million rubles.
June 23, 1966 was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.
Later on the collective farm, the yield of grain and industrial crops was much higher not only in the district, but also in the whole republic. 1982 was a record year for harvest.
Klimbovsky, being married to a teacher, and seeing how hard and important the work of the teacher was, paid special attention to the field of education. The collective farm invested 400 thousand rubles in the construction of a new school, upon learning of which the teacher’s correspondent came to Alovo. For teachers, 24 houses were built. More than a thousand students from all over the district studied for the school, for whom a boarding school was built.
As the former head of the MTS, and the chairman of the collective farm with a fleet of 90 tractors, he organized training courses for tractor drivers at the school.
A hospital was also built in the village in which four doctors worked, two of whom were educated as collective farm fellows.
In 1980, he was elected to the Supreme Council of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1980, a socialist competition between the collective farm. M. Gorky and the collective farm to them. Kalinin, who became the competition of their chairmen - Heroes of Socialist Labor Klimbovsky and Kunyaev , was devoted to a special issue of the newsreel " On the Volga Wide ".
