Identification abstraction is a way of forming general abstract concepts.
This method consists in taking into account only those differences which, in this situation, for one reason or another, are significant (for goals and / or tasks), while ignoring others - insignificant. The original objects, which differ insignificantly, are considered the same, and in the speech aspect, the abstraction of identification will be manifested in the fact that two identical source objects, when identified, can be talked about as the same abstract object - having assigned the corresponding term [1 ] [2] [3] .
Examples
- identification of identical letters (words, alphabets) - leads to the concept of an abstract letter (abstract word, abstract alphabet;
- identification of the equivalent fundamental sequence of rational numbers - leads to the concept of a real number;
- identification of isomorphic groups - we come to the concept of an abstract group
