“One of Many” is a Soviet black and white satirical animated film with elements of live shooting in 1927, the studio “ Mezhrabpom-Rus ”, which makes fun of the passion for American movie stars. The creation of the cartoon was worked by recognized masters of Soviet animation - Nikolai Khodataev and the Sisters Brumberg.

Content
Story
Impressed by the arrival of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks in the USSR in 1927, a young Soviet girl dreams of going to Hollywood . In a dream, her dream comes true. But adventures on the set of popular films do not bode well ...
In her dream, the girl gets on the set of the movie “Obsession” (1916), where director David Griffith commands the shout and then meets the then-famous Hollywood celebrities: Charlie Chaplin , Pat and Patashon (the Danish comedian duo, in fact, never starring in Hollywood), Harold Lloyd , Buster Keaton (in the guise of a caveman from the movie “ Three Erases ”) riding the “Dinosaur Gerti”, western hero Tom Mix , Douglas Fairbanks (first in the guise of the “Baghdad Thief”, and then “Gaucho” ") And finally Mary Pickford .
In the second half of the film, the main character is plotted by Fantomas intrigues from the first film adaptation of Louis Feyad. [2]

- The film outlines a visit to Moscow by Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford in 1926. Newsreels of this event are included in it.
- This is one of the three films of the USSR filmed at that time, playing on the theme of "picfordization" in the USSR along with the film " Mary Pickford " by Sergei Komarov and the film "Baghdad Thief" by Yevgeny Guryev - a parody of the picture of the same name with the participation of Douglas Fairbanks. - In 1977, the filming of the film directed by Vladimir Levin “ Pioneer Mary Pickford ” about a Soviet schoolgirl who wants to become like Mary Pickford and act in films began.
