Government of Kaznev

The Kaznev government is the thirty-ninth government of France during the Fifth Republic , formed on December 6, 2016 under the chairmanship of Bernard Kaznev . The fifth government during the reign of President Francois Hollande .

Content

Formation

On December 6, 2016, the government was formed due to the resignation of Manuel Waltz [1] .

Changes in composition

On February 27, 2017, Axel Lemaire resigned from the post of Secretary of State for the Digital Economy, joining the presidential campaign of Benoit Amon [2] , and her powers were transferred to Secretary of State for Industry Christophe Siruig.

On March 21, 2017, Interior Minister Bruno Le Roux resigned after the start of an investigation into the fact that he had hired his daughters by parliamentary assistants from 2009 to 2016 [3] , and Matthias Fécl was appointed in his place [4] .

On April 6, 2017, the issues of foreign trade and tourism development were transferred to the jurisdiction of the Secretary of State for European Affairs Arlem Desiree [5] , and the support of the French abroad abroad was entrusted to the Secretary of State for the Development of Francophonie Jean-Marie Le Guine [6] (both were in run by Matthias Fekl when he was Secretary of State).

Government resignation

On the evening of May 10, 2017, a few hours after the French Constitutional Council officially named Emmanuel Macron the winner of the presidential election, Kaznev announced the resignation of his government. President Hollande asked him to continue his duties until the appointment of a new cabinet [7] .

On May 15, 2017, President Macron appointed Edouard Philippe as the new Prime Minister of France.

On May 17, 2017, a new government was formed, to which the powers of the cabinet of Kaznyov passed [8] .
