The Kamysh-Burun Spit ( Arshintsevskaya Spit ) is located in the southeast of the Kerch Peninsula on the coast of the Kamysh-Burun Bay of the Kerch Strait .

Since 1996, there has been a progressive erosion of the coastal strip , as a result of which the buildings and buildings located on its territory are destroyed.
In January 2007, due to the wind surge of sea water, 25 dormitories of Arshintsevsky Fish Processing Plant OJSC were in the flooding zone. Then 51 residents had to be evacuated, of which 8 were children .
