Jean Zerbo ( French: Jean Zerbo ; born December 27, 1943 , Segu , Mali ) is the first Malian cardinal . The titular bishop of Achchia and the auxiliary bishop of Bamako from June 21, 1988 to December 19, 1994. Bishop Mopti from December 19, 1994 to June 27, 1998. The Archbishop of Bamako from June 27, 1998. The cardinal priest with the titular church of St. Anthony of Padua on the Tusculan road from June 28, 2017 .
