History

The railway came to Kushva on August 19, 1878 , when the Yekaterinburg-Goroblagodatskaya section, the first section of the Gornozavodskaya railway , was commissioned. Already at the planning stage, the Goroblagodatskaya station was assigned the role of a nodal one, since it was most convenient to deliver the products of Demidov factories here. In addition, here, from the plots on the Sylvice River, a forest was delivered, both for Kushva and Tagil factories.

In 1903, construction began on another Goroblagodatskaya-Nadezhdinsk line. Construction lasted three years, and was completed in 1906 . But since the Theological Road was private, and the Gornozavodskaya Railway was state-owned, the so-called “adjoining section” was organized at Goroblagodatskaya station: two reception and departure tracks, several dead ends for the wagon sludge, cross turnouts were laid, and a freight and wagon transfer point was built.

From those times to the present day, two water towers have been preserved at the station. During the Civil War, both towers were severely damaged. Subsequently, one of them was restored as best they could, and a new one was built in place of the other.

In the Soviet period, the Goroblagodatskaya station continued to be one of the most important nodal stations of the Perm and then Sverdlovsk railways. Its role especially increased with the beginning of industrialization and the construction of giant plants in the Middle Urals. And after the Novo-Tagil Metallurgical Plant under construction was oriented towards the ores of the Kushva basin, the station became the most important railway junction in the region [4] .

Infrastructure

The station consists of two parallel parks: pickup and sorting, with 9 tracks each. To receive passenger trains, there is one low passenger platform located on the side of the station square on the street. Station and final bus stop. Passenger trains in both directions are taken to the 1st track closest to the station building. There is a pedestrian bridge across the railway tracks located on the side of the even neck of the station.

Railway stations are adjacent to the station. the paths of the Kushvinsky rolling mill plant , the Kushvinsky expanded clay plant, a woodworking enterprise (Vostok LLC), the Goroblagodatskaya car-repair depot (VChDR-12).

Station

The question of erecting a new station building on Goroblagodatskaya was repeatedly raised back in the 1930s, but each time the station was delayed. The reasons for this were different, including a lack of funds, but one of the main reasons was that the typical station buildings for Goroblagodatskaya were not suitable due to lack of free space.

In the late 1940s, an individual project was developed, and in 1951 a new station building appeared at the station.

The central part of the station was made in the style of the old Ural factory floor, covered with a gable roof. At the same time, the new station was decorated in the style of the Stalinist Empire style , both outside and inside.

The station building housed a waiting room, ticket offices, a left-luggage office, a buffet, a relaxation room, a linear police department, and office premises.

Another distinctive feature of the Goroblagodat station was the abundance of paintings on the walls. It is noteworthy that all the paintings were exact copies of the works of famous Soviet artists, and were performed by the station’s traffic safety mechanic Vasily Konstantinovich Nekrasov [4] .

In 2011, the station building was declared emergency and closed to passengers, and in June 2016 it was demolished. To serve passengers, the building of the former canteen on the 1st platform of the station was refitted.

Passenger service

At the station, electric trains stopping from Nizhny Tagil to Chusovskaya , Kachkanar , Nizhnyaya Tura , Verkhoturye ), as well as 1 electric train from Serov , for which the station is the terminal. In addition, all passenger long-distance and local trains passing through the station have a stop.
