The developers used some ideas taken from clones of the ZX Spectrum , seeking widespread use in the USSR at that time. So, at the same processor plant in the late 1980s, the Gamma computer [1] , a ZX Spectrum 48K clone, was manufactured. In particular, the “mid-resolution” video mode of the MC0515 strongly resembles the ZX Spectrum screen. The drive controller is built on the KR1818VG93 chip, widely used in clones of the Beta Disk Interface .
